Another week, another Bobby Shmurda rumor.

Over the weekend, the Brooklyn rapper, born Ackquille Pollard, found his name in the rumor mill once again, after word went around that he was put in critical condition following a jail brawl. However, according to Shmurda’s attorney, Howard Greenberg, all of that is “bullshit.”

“Bullshit,” Greenberg told REVOLT about the circulating rumor. “Saw him yesterday (January 20) in court. He looked fantastic.”

The speculation is one of many that have arose since the 20-year-old rap sensation was sent to Rikers Island last month following a long-term investigation by NYPD and the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor’s Narcotics Gang Unit that also sent 14 others behind bars upstate. Just a few weeks ago, word got out that the rapper was killed during an attack, and then later another rumor went around that he was released. To those two instances, Greenberg confirmed to REVOLT earlier this month that they’re all “just rumor.”

But what is not a rumor however, is the fact that a Brooklyn D.A. office announced some good news on the rapper’s case. “Brooklyn D.A. office announced that the gun case in Brooklyn will be dismissed in about two weeks,” Greenberg confirmed. That Brooklyn case, according to court papers, alleged that Bobby fired a gun toward a crowd of people outside a barber shop. There was also another incident in which he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia after police seized two loaded firearms and narcotics paraphernalia inside a Brooklyn residence.

As for what this means for Bobby and his upcoming January 29 trial date, Greenberg stated, “Brooklyn is done and now it’s on to Manhattan, where we need to teach these adversaries a lesson.”
